About Anchorpoint
Anchorpoint was opened in 1997. It has two retail levels, with one basement level, and an adjacent two-storey building serving as a restaurant. It is standing opposite IKEA store, the famous large home furnishing store.
Apart from housing several restaurants like Banquet and Secret Recipe Café, Anchorpoint is also surrounded by amenities like Cold Storage Supermarket, banks, retail shopping and groceries.
There are many condos nearby the Anchorpoint, among them are The Interlace, The Anchorage, Commonwealth Towers, Queens, Alexis, and Alexandra Centre.
Apart from an array of eateries and restaurants, Anchorpoint also offers retail shopping and boutique outlets. The main draw of Anchorpoint is that branded fashion materials are sold at low prices. Anchorpoint has the highest number of factory outlet stores in Singapore e.g. Capitol Optical Outlet, FOX Outlet, Giordano Outlet, Charles & Keith Outlet and many more. Moreover, it is not as crowded as other shopping malls where you have to queue; it allows comfortable shopping. However, bargaining is not allowed as all shops sell at fixed prices.
There are a few schools within a reasonable distance to the mall, like the American College (Head Office), Queenstown Primary School, and Global Indian International School Singapore (GIIS) – Queenstown Campus.
Anchorpoint can be accessed from Alexandra Road, Jalan Bukit Merah, and Ayer Rajah Expressway.
